Bloor West Village is a very popular Toronto neighbourhood that has a lot to offer a family. It has excellent schools, the ever popular retail district along Bloor Street that has ethnic dining from around the world, first-class bakeries and delis, retailers selling one-of-a-kind objects, vintage stores, plus all the services such as medical buildings, banks, dry cleaners, etc. It is also walking distance to Toronto’s biggest and well known greens space, High Park. The Bloor West Village Neighbourhood attracts people from all over the city to enjoy the wonderful shopping, restaurants and High Park.

The first residents of Bloor West Village were immigrants of Eastern European descent. These residents were part of the development of the popular retail environment along Bloor Street.

In August there is an annual street festival that lets the many family-owned businesses display their wares in tents and under awnings. The Bloor West Neighbourhood is very connected with the rest of Toronto for both public transit users as well as those travelling by car.The Jane and Runnymede subway stations are part of the Bloor-Danforth subway line and both are within walking distance of the homes in Bloor West Village.

The Annette Street bus connects passengers to the Dupont subway station on the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line. There are additional bus routes on Jane Street and Runnymede Road. Motorists are approximately ten minutes from the Gardiner Expressway and Lake Shore Boulevard. Both these routes provide quick access into and out of the city.
